Facebook, one of the biggest social media giant is set to make its way to the smartphone market as they are presently making their final preparations towards launching its own set of smart speakers, which is presently one of the hottest section in the Consumer electronic market.
According to reports, the two set of smart tv are code-named “Fiona and Aloha” and they are both with a 15-inch touchscreen. They are both expected to be launched in July this year.
Aloha which is said to be the largest of the two is expected to come with with a 15-inch touchscreen coupled with facial and voice recognition while barely nothing is known about Fiona except the fact that, it is expected to come with a Siri like voice assistant.
Facebook has decided to join the heavyweight players such as the likes of Amazon who opened the floor with the launch of Amazon Echo back in 2015, followed by Google with Google Home in 2016, finally Apple who had just launched its own Apple Home Pod not quite long in the global smart speaker market, thereby making competition the global smart speaker more tougher and intensified.
According to a source, Facebook had originally scheduled it Launching for May but had to reschedule it for July so as to allow more time for software modifications and perfecting the acoustic quality of the smart speakers.
